Enigma Escape

Inspired by Tobias Bamberg and Doug Henning, this escape is a true "enigma" for any 2-person act. This full size stage effect weighs less than 5 pounds and can be done just about anywhere!

The effect: A volunteer is asked for and handed a large cloth bag that they examine thoroughly. When they finish their examination, you, or your assistant, gets inside the bag. The volunteer is asked for their shoe, or other personal item, which is then also placed inside the bag. The person in the bag now ducks down as the bag is tied up over their head with a silk. The top of the bag is held by the volunteer and kept in sight the entire time. The rest of the bag is now covered by a hoop curtain.

Within seconds, the person that was tied inside the bag lowers the hoop curtain. They have successfully escaped from the bag that is still tied and held, in sight of all, by the volunteer.

The volunteer, not the performer, then unties the silk and opens the bag to retrieve their shoe, which is still inside of the bag, proving that you were inside of the bag only seconds before.

Again, the bag can be totally examined by the volunteer, before and after the effect, there is absolutely nothing to find!

Can be done totally surrounded and is very easy to do. Everything is included except 2 ordinary hula-hoops. (It is cheaper for you to buy them then to have us ship them with the effect.) Can be done totally surrounded. Packs small plays large.
